Who is eligible?

Applicants must be persons enrolled or wishing to enroll at Brooklyn College. Applicants must be carrying a minimum 3.00 GPA at the end of the last completed academic year.

What are the application requirements?

Download and Read through the Scholarship Guidelines & Application information packet. The completed application should be typewritten or completed online, but must be printed out, signed and mailed to The Kitch foundation. Application can be downloaded at www.Thekitchfoundation.org.

How many scholarships are awarded and what are the award amounts?

The Kitch Foundation supports several college students each year. The number of scholarships awarded and the dollar amount of each award is based on the quantity and quality of the applicant pool. The scholarships provided by The Kitch Foundation are awarded to students based on personal merit and academic achievement. The scholarships range in amount, from $500.00 to full-tuition.

Do I need to send an essay or transcript?

All applicants are required to include a transcript of all course work through the last completed period, including current GPA. In addition there is an essay portion of the application and it is worth 25% of the total scoring.

How will I find out the status of my application?

Selected finalists will be notified by mail on or before July 16, of current year, listed as national scholars and sent further information regarding the scholarship award. Further questions can be sent to the Scholarship Chairperson at gplatz@thekitchfoundation.org
