Our commitment to privacy
Since our establishment in 1991, The Kitch Foundation has been committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and security of personal information about our current and potential donors. When you provide personal information to The Kitch Foundation, we believe that you should be aware of our policies designed to protect the confidentiality of this information.
We hope you will take a moment to review our privacy policy, including certain aspects that depend on whether you deal with us directly or through a financial advisor or authorized representative.
We review our privacy policy annually. Our online notice is then updated to reflect any material changes.
How and why we obtain information
The Kitch Foundation obtains personal information about you in the following ways:
- From you or your authorized representative on applications or forms (examples include name, address, social security number)
- From transactional activity (for example, contributions and grant recommendations)
- From other sources with your consent or with the consent of your authorized representative (for example, from other institutions if you contribute positions into The Kitch Foundation)
How we protect your information
The Kitch Foundation has always considered the strong protection of sensitive information to be a foundation of our donors’ trust and a standard practice. We employ extensive physical, electronic, and procedural protection mechanisms, and we regularly adapt these controls to respond to changes in requirements and advances in technology.
Within The Kitch Foundation and among our service providers, we restrict access to personal information to those who require it to provide our services to you.
The Kitch Foundation does not sell or rent donor names or information to any firm or non-profit organization. The Kitch Foundation has entered into fundraising arrangements with The Kitch Foundation Investments to offer and provide our programs to their customers. However, we do not share your information with The Kitch Foundation Investments or any other firm or nonprofit organization for their marketing or fundraising purposes, unless you or your authorized representative explicitly asks us to do so. You do not have to contact us to benefit from these protections; they apply automatically to all our donors.
We may share the personal information that we collect with government agencies or other regulatory bodies and law enforcement officials (for example, for tax reporting or for reporting suspicious transactions).
Privacy online
